Funny English - Find Time to Laugh

Funny English- Find Time to Laugh

https://ramamohanraocheruku.blogspot.com/2020/10/funny-english.html

We'll begin with a box, and the plural is boxes,

But the plural of ox becomes oxen, not oxes.

One fowl is a goose, but two are called geese,

Yet the plural of moose should never be meese.

You may find a lone mouse or a nest full of mice,

Yet the plural of house is houses, not hice.

If the plural of man is always called men,

Then shouldn't the plural of pan be called pen?

If I speak of my foot and show you my feet,

And I give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?

If one is a tooth and a whole set are teeth,

Why shouldn't the plural of booth be called beeth?

Then one may be that, and three would be those,

Yet hat in the plural would never be hose,

And the plural of cat is cats, not cose.

We speak of a brother and also of brethren,

But though we say mother, we never say methren.

Then the masculine pronouns are he, his and him,

But imagine the feminine: she, shis and shim! Let's face it -

English is a crazy language.

And, in closing, if Father is Pop, how come Mother's not mop?

And if people from Poland are called Poles

Then people from Holland should be Holes

And the Germans, Germs.

Find Time to Laugh

Why the place in a stadium where you SIT is, called a STAND?

There is racial discrimination even in chess, Whites always move first.

We have Freedom of Speech, Why should we pay TELEPHONE BILLS?

So many Organizations have branches. Where is the tree?

Why do we still call it BUILDING, when it’s already BUILT?

If it’s true that we all are here to HELP others, where can we find others?

If you aren't supposed to Drink and Drive, Why do bars have Parking lots?

A ‘Dog Food’ carton had the label 'New with Improved Taste', Who Tested It?

When the "Black Box" Never Damages in Plane Crash, Why not Airplane be made out Of That Stuff?

People Say "You've Been Working like a Dog", But Dogs Sit around All Day??

We all live in a seriously funny world.  See it in the lighter vein to laugh.

Panchakanya

                                               Pancha Kanya

https://ramamohanraocheruku.blogspot.com/2020/09/panchakanya.html

I am making a small attempt with the hope that you will appreciate it. I opted for English just for the reason that I have to type more English letters to get Telugu words if I express myself in Telugu.

As you know the time, (mahaayugas, kalpas, manvantaras,) is a wheel and if one cycle is completed the other starts. As such we come across so many incidents pertaining to the same Yuga of various cycles. The ultimate conclusion being the same the incidents leading to the climax vary as we find through many Puranas. The other thing is when such things are narrated by poets, for their own reasons they mold the ‘Katha vastu’ to their own taste. We can even quote Kalidasa also for the same. Keeping these things into mind we now take up the topic of ‘Pancha Kanyas and not as 'Pancha Pativratas'.

 'Ahalya Droupadi Sita Taaraa Mandodaristathaa

Panchakanyaa smarennityam mahaapaataka naasanam’

The verse possesses a puzzle worth grappling with. The important thing that strikes to us is the epithet ‘Kanya’ who for the common sense are not kanyas. On the other hand they had some unnatural relationship.

If we keenly observe, of this group of five Ahalya, Tara, sita and Mandodari belong to Ramayana and only Droupadi belongs to Mahabharata. Hence somehow I am not able to consider Tara of Brihaspati. However we will look into it afterwards. So let us now consider the names mentioned in the above sloka one by one. However I am not trying to elaborate their life stories but to the point.

Ahalya: The name Ahalya itself has two meanings. One is not to find fault with. The second is who cannot be ploughed. Hence I feel the name itself confirms her virginity. She was unique beauty created specially by Lord Brahma and handed over to Gautama, unlike the normal human beings. She is beyond human relationships and hence is a virgin. (I do not want to go deep into stories as you too know them.)

Sita: Sita is ayonija and the one suspicion on her is Ravana forcibly makes her sit on his lap. But at the end she proves her chastity by sinking into earth. Hence undoubtedly she is a virgin.

Tara: She I s a woman of unusual intelligence, fore site and self-confidence. She has the title ‘sarvabhuta ritajna ‘meaning having knowledge of languages of all the creatures (Maha Bharata)

In the Balinese dance Kebyar “Rama helps Sugriva get his lover Tara back from his brother Vali. In Narasimhapurana Tara is actually Sugriva’s wife and Vali forcibly takes her into his fold.  According to Telugu Ranganatha Ramayana Tara was gifted to both Vali and Sugriva by Suras acknowledging the helping hand they extended to them while churning for Amrita. Tara signifies ‘both Star’ and the ‘pupil of the eye’ conveying the idea of a Focal Point depicting concentrated essence. Among the ten mahavidyas Tara takes the second place. Tara symbolizes ‘light’ which represents guidance, path finding, knowledge and a tool to overcome the hurdles. All these we find in Tara of Ramayana.

As regards Tara of Brihaspati the following is the little I can tell.

The Theosophical Encyclopedia refers to the Puranic legends, where Tara is the second wife of Brihaspati who is the equivalent of Jupiter and the spiritual guru of the gods. Tara was carried off by Soma (Moon) and bore a son named Budha (Wisdom), who is considered to have written a hymn in the Rig Veda. In The Secret Doctrine, H.P. Blavatsky indicates that Brahmanaspati (Brihaspati) represents the materialization of the divine grace through exoteric rituals and ceremonies, while Tara - his wife - is the personification of an initiate in the (secret knowledge). Through soma (the sacred beverage of the rishis), Tara is initiated in the mysteries, which results in Budha (esoteric wisdom).

We can also interpret her name as coming from the causative form of the verb t.’r, meaning ‘to cross’, ‘to traverse’ or ‘to escape’.  Tara, therefore, carries an aura of internecine strife.

Hence I feel Tara is virgin in both the cases.

Rest Next……………

4. Mandodari:  Mandodari:  The Ananda Ramayana account (1.9.33-57) has Vishnu create her from the sandalwood paste smeared on his body to delude Ravana into believing that she is Parvati, whom he has asked for from Shiva. Another story is that she is the daughter of Mayasura the son of Kasyapa prajapati and Hema an Apsarasa,

According to the Ranganath Ramayana, it is Parvati who makes the doll and Shiva breathes life into it. The doll is Mandodari, whose beauty causes Parvati concern; she has Shiva turn Mandodari into a frog. When Maya the asura begs for children, Shiva restores the frog to human form and gives her to the Danava as his daughter.

Hence like Ahalya, Sita, Tara and Draupadi, Mandodari is also ayonija, once again, not-of-woman-born. There is an analogous myth about her origin in the Telegu Uttara Ramayana.  Once, when Parvati was away, Shiva had intercourse with the apsara Madhura, who came to Kailash to worship him. On her return, Parvati turned Madhura into a frog. After twelve years, by Shiva’s grace, the frog took the form of Mandodari who was adopted by Maya and Hema and became the wife of Ravana. “The sperm of Shiva which remained dormant in the womb of Mandodari when she was a frog began to develop, and finally gave birth to Indrajit. Thus, the so-called son of Ravana – Indrajit of Lanka – was an intelligence son [sic] of Shiva. “Here we find another clue to the reason behind her name. Desiraju Hanumanta Rao, translating and commenting on the epic, writes, “When Shurpanakha was claiming herself a befitting female for Rama, and belittling Seetha she uses words like krishodari, shaatodari meaning “a female with feeble... So also manda udari means 'slow, womb... and hence she is lady with slow conception...' Mandodari gives birth to one Indrajit, son of Ravana, an extraordinary fighter, and all-conquering warrior. Had Mandodari given birth to one or two more Indrajit-s, a dozen Rama-s have to take incarnation is what was told by sage Valmiki in yuddhakanda.

Because it was the custom among Rakshasas and Vanaras to wed an enthroned queen for the new ruler Tara and Mandodari got married to the successors of the thrown.

Hence I believe strongly that she is considered as a virgin.

Droupadi: Droupadi is Agni sambhava.  Kunti herself describes Draupadi to Krishna as sarvadharmopacayinam (fosterer of all virtues, Udyoga Parva 137.16), using the identical term by which Yayati describes his daughter Madhavi while gifting her to Galava (ibid. 115.11). The conjunction of both occurrences of this epithet in the same Parva is surely deliberate on part of the seer-poet Vyasa for drawing our attention to these correspondences. Droupadi’s name is actually 'Krishna' and she used to address Krishna as 'Sakha' and he to her as 'Sakhi'. This says that she is Krishna's alter-ego. It is also told in Maha Bharata as per the contract among Pandavas when she goes to her other husband’s house her chastity was reinstated and as such she is chaste and is a virgin.

If we closely observe the names of the characters of Itihasas are especially named after their qualities and that way also they are KANYAS.

Above all they are Vanaras Devatas and Rakshasas. They have their own customs, traditions, and laws by which their serenity is judged.

In Oria I came across this Sloka which goes on like this.

Pancha bhuta kshiti op tejo maruta Byomo
Poncha sati nirjyasa gyani bodho Gomyo

Ahalya Draupadi Kunti Sita Tara Mandodari tatha Pancha kanya...

Five elements, earth, water, fire, [[wind, ether are in essence the five satis. This, the wise know as Ahalya, Draupadi, Sita, Tara and Mandodari.

The five
virgins...Ahalya personifies water, Draupadi represents fire, Sita symbolises mother earth and Tara personifies wind and Mandodari ether.

This is what the best I could give an account of the topic.

Swasti.

Mylapore Temple - Saint Thomas Mount

Mylapore Temple

Saint Thomas Mount

https://ramamohanraocheruku.blogspot.com/2020/08/mylapore-temple-historyis-study-of.html

History is the study of the human past as it is described in written documents left behind by humans. The past, with all of its complicated choices and events, participants dead and history told, is what the general public perceives to be the immutable bedrock on which historians and archaeologists stand.

But as purveyors (a person who sells or deals in particular goods.) of the past, historians recognize that the bedrock is really quicksand, that bits of each story are yet untold, and that what has been told is colored by the conditions of today. While not untrue to say that history is the study of the past, here is a collection of much more clear and accurate descriptions.

K. Kris Hirst, Archaeology Expert

(M.A., Anthropology, University of Iowa, B.Ed., Illinois State University)

There are several myths converted into facts by the Christian Historians, to make believe a poor common reader who is in fact a parasite depending on the Occidents.

As a concrete example let us take the case of Mylapore Temple which was then on the sea shore of Mylapore. There is a reference to the temple in Sangam literature of the 1st to 5th centuries and the earliest mention is found in the 6th century Tamil literature. The temple and the deity were immortalized in Tamil poetry in the works of Tevaram by poet saint belonging to the 7th century - Thirugnana Sambanthar. He had composed in 6th Poompavai pathigam in praise of the temple. Arunagirinathar, the 15th-century poet, sings praise of the temple in Tirumayilai Tirupugazh. The 12th-century poet, Gunaveera Pandithar sings about Neminathan under Theerthangar neminathar pugazh. Tirumayilai Prabanthangal is a compilation of four works on the temple and the deity. (Google Wiki)

According to Christian leaders in India, the apostle Thomas came to India in 52 AD, founded the Syrian Christian Church, and was killed by the fanatical Brahmins in 72 AD. Near the site of his martyrdom, the St. Thomas Church was built. In fact this apostle never came to India. The Christian community in South India was founded by a merchant called Knai Thoma or Thomas of Cana in 345 AD — a name which readily explains the Thomas legend. He led four hundred refugees who fled persecution in Persia and were given asylum by the Hindu authorities.

The real History written by genuine Indian Historians never found a single incident where the Brahmins as group or individually assaulted on any European, for that matter any foreigner. All these concoctions were made by Church Historians, Muslim Historians who were the henchmen of the then Sulthans and Nawabs and the Marxist ideologues.

In Catholic universities in Europe, the myth of the apostle Thomas going to India is no longer taught as history, but in India it is still considered useful. Even many vocal “secularists” who attack the Hindus for “relying on myth” in the Ayodhya affair, off-hand profess their belief in the Thomas myth. The important point is that Thomas can be upheld as a martyr and the Brahmins decried as fanatics.

Dr. Coenraad Elst who studied under Jesuits at Katholieke Universiteit in Belgium, Europe’s oldest Catholic university at Leuven, is in a position to say with authority that the St. Thomas in India tale today is a fraud on the people of India by crafty, untruthful Catholic priests who make their living by fooling the faithful.

The Mylapore temple, originally situated at the sea shore, brutally subjected to vandalism and the massacre of Brahmins by the fanatic Christian solders with the master minds of Christian clergy can be read in the 24-chapter essay contained in 'The Myth of Saint Thomas and the Mylapore Shiva Temple' by Ishwar Sharan.

No one knows how many Hindu priests and worshipers were killed when the Christian soldiers came to remove the curse of Paganism from the Mylapore beach. Hinduism does not practice martyr-mongering, but if at all we have to speak of martyrs in this context, the title goes to these Jina- and Shiva-worshipers and not to the apostle Thomas.

Swasthi.

A Founding of the Hindu Rashtra – Not Just a Temple

A Founding of the Hindu Rashtra – Not Just a Temple
This is an article written by Sri Virendra Parekh, an editor and senior journalist in Mumbai. I am just sharing this verbatim to those readers who are loyal to Ram and United India.
The bhoomi poojan of Ram temple in Ayodhya is a major landmark on India’s journey towards the Hindu Rashtra. We are indeed blessed to witness this historic moment. To grasp its true significance, one has to view it in a perspective of centuries. The last millennium, which opened with wanton destruction of Hindu temples by Islamic invaders, ended with a powerful popular movement to restore the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. The current one opens with the foundation laying ceremony of that grand temple. No wonder the country is celebrating it as a grand festival of civilisational reaffirmation and resurgence.

To be sure, the challenges before the Hindu civilisation, which remain multiple and serious, would not disappear with the reconstruction of the Ram temple. The reconstruction, however, signifies Hindu society’s determination to overcome these challenges and also holds out an assurance of its success in this noble endeavour.

For centuries India has been struggling to retain its civilizational identity. It has been a battleground of two civilisations (Hindu and Islamic) for the last one thousand years and three civilisations (Hindu, Islamic and Western) for nearly three centuries. Muslim invaders were interested not just in enjoying India’s fabled wealth and power, but also in driving out Hinduism (“kufr”) and establishing the “only true religion”. Chronicles of their court historians testify to that. The Britishers, too, were not as neutral or indifferent in civilisational issues as it may appear at first sight. Macaulay’s famous minutes leave no doubt on that score.

India did manage to retain her identity through these turbulent centuries, but it could not defeat the invading civilisations. It could neither absorb them fully through assimilation nor throw out what could not be assimilated. This inability to reject what it could not digest was the essence of foreign conquest. Even today, it has not gained that freedom in full measure.

The unresolved tussle resulted in a civilisational stalemate. This stalemate, as Girilal Jain pointed out three decades ago, lies at the root of crisis of identity faced by our intelligentsia over the last hundred years. Are we an ancient civilization under assault from predatory forces or a hotchpotch of innumerable identities struggling to become a nation? Should we cherish our culture as a unique and invaluable asset or cut it asunder as burdensome deadwood from the past?

The foreign rule over the centuries, meanwhile, divided our intelligentsia into broadly two groups. A large part of it, which wanted to enjoy wealth, power, prestige, status and position decided to collaborate with the ruling class by offering to serve it. A small part of the intelligentsia stuck to its roots and refused to join the rulers. It was driven out from the corridors of power, but its voice could never be completely silenced.

Members of the former group learnt Persian and Arabic, took up jobs under Muslim rulers and adopted their mores and manners. The British Raj was much wider, stronger and more uniform. Most members of the groups which had earlier collaborated with Muslim rulers now donned the new attire with alacrity. Thousands of Hindus took to English language, dress, manners and even ideas, ideals and thought processes. They came to view themselves as partners of the rulers rather than the ruled. Nehrus are a good example of this class. This rule—collaborate with rulers if you want to come up socially—remained in operation even after independence.

It was this class of Anglicised brown sahibs, with a history of serving successive foreign dispensations that formed the dominant elite at the time of independence. With Jawaharlal Nehru as its guiding star and spirit, it sought to remake India into a Western image. Indian state under Nehru became a powerful agency for propagation of Western ideals and institutions.

A word here about Communists is in order. In India, the Western civilization is represented not so much by Christianity as by Communism. Some Christians may appreciate the religiosity (not the religion) of the Hindus. But the Communists’ contempt for Indian philosophy, religion and civilization is deep, absolute, and uncompromising. They could think of no greater calamity than India returning to its Hindu ethos.

To continue with the story, the dominant left-leaning elite sought to mould India into a non-Hindu entity. It used secularism to repudiate the Hindu ethos of India and socialism to humiliate the weal-creating business class and subordinate it to the benefit of an ever expanding rapacious neta-babu combine. Under its aegis, Hinduism came to be viewed as synonymous with superstition, inequality and exploitation. Nationalism became suspect and invoking India’s ancient civilization was branded as communalism.

Ram Janmabhoomi movement was Hindus’ reaction to this soulless, rootless un-Indian state that had scant regard for their concerns and sentiments. The overnight conversion to Islam of Meenakshipuram village in Tamil Nadu in 1981, Khalistani terrorism in Punjab, the overturning by the Parliament of the Supreme Court judgment in Shah Bano case and fanning of separatism in J&K left Hindus deeply worried about their future in their homeland. That is why the opening of padlocks at the shrine at Ayodhya in 1986 and shilanyas at the sight in 1989, meant to be minor diversions, became historic turning points. Ram came to occupy centre stage of the public discourse.

Like a subterranean river bursting out in a desert, Hindu awakening broke out into the open and carried away everything before it. All attempts to smother it failed. This was the sentiment that saw BJP under Narendra Modi win absolute majority in Lok Sabha elections twice in succession. The civilizational stalemate that Girilalji spoke about is beginning to resolve in favour of the Hinduism. The left-leaning intelligentsia which dominated the public discourse has lost its political clout. Narendra Modi is the most visible and powerful symbol of this transformation. No wonder the dispossessed intellectual elite regard him as a mortal enemy.
The nature of the Indian state is changing. Nehru as prime minister sought to prevent President Rajendra Prasad from attending the Somnath temple renovation ceremony. Modi as prime minister is going to lay the foundation stone himself. We have indeed come a long way.

The reconstruction of Ram temple is not directed against the Muslims. The dispute is not between Hindus and Muslims but between those who respect India’s civilizational ethos and those who wish to destroy it. A Shia organization was among the first to announce donation for the temple. Pakistani author Tarek Fatah has consistently supported the cause of the Ram Janmabhoomi. On the other hand, Sharad Pawar was determined not to attend the ceremony even if invited. Left to himself, Mani Shankar Aiyar may perhaps erect the Babri mosque again at the spot.
An overwhelming majority of Muslims in the Indian subcontinent are descendants of Hindu ancestors. In their veins also flows the blood of Vedic sages and saints of yore. Vicissitudes of history tore them away from their parent society. The temple reconstruction is an occasion for all of us to remember this blood relation between India’s two major communities. With silent endorsement of the temple reconstruction, Indian Muslims can bond again with their parent society. Millions are doing it already.
We may wish that all this should have happened twenty, thirty, fifty years ago. But history or Mahakal moves at his own pace. He cannot be pushed from behind; nor can his march be thwarted by trying to block his path.
The bhoomi poojan is an occasion for all of us to invoke Ram to be our unifier and liberator. Let Ram, who united the royalty and laity of his kingdom with Tribals in forests and mountains in distant lands, bring together estranged brothers in his homeland. Let Ram, who liberated Sita from the bondage of Ravan, liberate us from the bondage of the past and lead us to Ramarajya.
Jai Sri Ram.

Intellectual Subversion

Intellectual Subversion

The following is a speech on “Intellectual Subversion in India” by Radha Ranjan, the editor of Vigil Online (http://www.vigilonline.com). Vigil Online has published a book called “NGOs, Activists and Foreign Funds: An Anti-national Industry” which exposes the nexus between foreign powers and Indian NGOs for the purposes of subverting India from inside.
I have been asked to speak upon intellectual terrorism. I will modify it slightly and speak of intellectual subversion, of which intellectual terrorism is one important dimension. When we say intellectual sub version, who are we holding guilty of intellectual subversion in this country? I for one hold academia, the media and the intellectual elite, those that have been educated in the English medium schools and institutions of higher learning. These are the three broad categories of people who I hold guilty of intellectual subversion in this country.
Subversion of Hindu Rashtra .What have they been subverting? They have been subverting the very idea of ‘nation’ that the Hindu community holds. When I say Hindu – let me make a few things clear here. I am going to be extremely blunt here. I don’t speak to please anybody, neither do I speak to offend anybody. I speak what I perceive to be the truth. When I say Hindu, I use it as the widely accepted term for those who practice Sanatana Dharma. Sanatana Dharma I say is Hinduism. People who practice Sanatana Dharma are Hindus.
 'Intellectual Subversion'
It is a part of the intellectual subversion exercise that they have discredited the word Hindu so that we are nameless group of people. To this, I will come a little later in my talk. When I say Hinduism and Hindus, I mean Sanatana Dharma and Sanatana Dharmis. So what has these intellectual terrorists perpetrated? They have subverted the idea of nation. What is a nation? “Nation” according to Hindu classical texts is “Rashtra.” Rashtra is both territory and the people. There is a historical sense of belonging of the people to that territory. It is a territory with well-defined borders. Rashtra thus has well-defined borders, and Rashtra means the people with a historical and
ancient sense of belonging to that territory. Indian classical texts speak of Hindu Rashtra as being one of the seven components of” Rajya.” Hindus constitute 85 percent of the population of this country. We are a nation of Hindus, but we are neither a Hindu Rashtra nor a Hindu Rajya. And this is the
success of the intellectual subversion – Hindus today have neither a Hindu Rashtra, nor a Hindu Rajya. What are the seven components of a Hindu Rajya,
that our classical texts speak of? They speak of the Swami, Amatya, Durg, Kosha, Danda, Bala … Swami or the king would be the state, the head of the
Government. The Amatya would the council of ministers. Durg is the capital. Kosha is the territory. Then you have Danda and Bala. Of all this, it is very
important that you have the Hindu ethos truly reflected in at least some of these components. It is the success of intellectual subversion in this country that a person who attempts to be the Swami is a Roman Catholic European who has neither the historical sense of  belonging to this territory, nor an
understanding of what this Rashtra is all about. It is the success of intellectual subversion in this country that you have a council of ministers who actively
propagate and perpetuate the politics of minoritisym in various spheres of national public life. If Danda can be interpreted in modern terms to denote the law and judiciary, you have a constitution and judiciary that is actively hostile to the Hindu community. Let me take this step by step. When I say a nation, I have an understanding of who belongs and who does not belong.
It is to the success of this intellectual subversion that Hindus constantly speak of Vasudaiva Kutumbkam and think Sonia Gandhi and Mother Teresa are a part of this Kutumbkam inside this country. When we have a distinct sense of us and them, we must have a sense of who is a Hindu. The “them” is who is a non-Hindu. If we have a sense of “us” and “them” there is a sense of Indian Hindus and there is a sense of non-Indian people who profess the Hindu Religion.
Kautilya’s Arthashastra did not deny the Vasudeva Kutumbkam principle at all. But Kautilya knew who was a national and who was not a national. Kautilya encouraged the Hindu way of welcoming refugees but he also said that keep the refugees out of your national borders. Provide for them, take care of them, see to it that they are comfortable and feel secure, but do not
bring them inside national borders until their loyalties have been tested and found to be true. Vasudaiva Kutumbkam does not mean opening your doors and allowing everyone to come inside, particularly when you are in a state of weakness.
Subversion through Historians
Let us take academia first. What are the falsehoods that they have propagated to subvert the very idea of a nation? They have I think done two things. They have fragmented the Hindu consciousness so that a very significant section of the Hindu community has been placed outside of national borders, and many other sections have been placed outside the Hindu community itself.
By propagating the theory of the Aryan invasion, Indian academia, dominated by the Marixists, have successfully placed a significant section of the Hindu community outside national borders. And this is not something peculiar to India. This Aryan Invasion Theory was a colonial construct. It is a White Christian construct. And they have played this game in North America too, where they have had this ridiculous baring Straits Theory, which said that the Native Americans whom they almost exterminated through
genocide and Christian colonialism, where themselves were migrants from elsewhere. That is to say they propagated the Aryan Invasion Theory here because the intellectuals among the Hindu elite who were in the forefront of resisting the colonial invasion, the colonial administration turned the argument back at them saying you yourself have come as a migrant to India, it is just that we have come a little more recently. To justify the genocide of the Native Americans, the White colonial research which came out of Harvard and Smithsonian placed the native American population outside the North American continent, and said that: “You people came here several centuries ago maybe, but you are as much migrants as we are. There is no such thing as a native American population. You are a migrant. We are a later-day migrant.” Udyan Namboodri ji in the previous session said how EMS Naboodripad could have gone running to the Soviet ambassador when his homeland or motherland or matra-bhumi was being attacked. You must understand Islam, Christianity and communism (which was a virulent reaction to Christian capitalism), none of the three ideologies or philosophies subscribe to the
concept of homeland, motherland or Matrui-Bhumi. These are aggressive conquering ideologies. They believe all territories are open for conquest.
It is only the Hindus and Jews who are born into their faiths in a territory which they call their own who have the concept of matra-bhumi or homeland. The other three philosophies or ideologies do not subscribe to the idea of homeland. So by placing a significant section of Hindu community outside
national borders, and by declaring that Dalits and Tribals are not part of the Hindu community, the Indian Marxist academia has fragmented the Hindu consciousness.
This was their success number one. Subversion through “Pluralism”. They have propagated the untruth that the Indian civilization has always been pluaralist. This concept of pluralism, please understand, is a Western Christian colonial concept. Christianity also spread by the sword. Today, the developed Western nations may have succeeded in branding Islam a terrorist religion and the Western White Christian nations as defenders against terrorism, but let us not forget that Christianity also spread by the sword. It was also intolerant. With the advent of “democracy,” which is also a Christian construct when political Christianity had to accommodate people from other way so life and when Christianity devised other weapons of conquest like evangelization, they made pluralism a virtue in their nation states.
Hindu dharma has always believed in diversity. We don’t need this Christian colonial construct of pluralism inside India. We have always been diverse.
Pluralism is “multi-culturalism” which is the new term in use in Western democracy. This pluralism or multi-culturalism is about accommodating the
indigestible elements of your society who refuse to become part of the mainstream. These elements do not consider this territory as their Matrui-Bhoomi and do not subscribe to Sanatana Dharma or Hinduism. These elements insist that they will live as indigestible elements but they seek accommodation within the broader diverse parameters of Hindu dharma. These are the pluralist elements and when White Christian colonial Western democracies promote the concept of pluralism, this is for non-White, non-Christian democracies like India whereas they are rejecting multi-culturalism in their own countries. The Australian prime minister is saying subscribe to the Australian culture. The British prime minister is saying,
subscribe to the British culture. Australian culture, British culture, American culture, please understand is White Christian culture, whether Catholic or Protestant. And immigrants or migrants who seek residence or citizenship in their countries, it is demanded of them that they have proficiency in the English language and they subscribe to the broad cultural values which are rooted in White Christianity.
This pluralism they want India to accept as an integral part of Indian policy, and it is this intellectual subversion that has launched Sonia Gandhi into the
forefront of Indian polity. I personally consider the presence of Sonia Gandhi in Indian polity as much an affront to my Hindu sensibilities as the mosques in
Mathura, Kashi and Ayodhya. This is success number two.
The “South Asia” Subversion
The third idea they are propagating is the concept of South Asia. This concept of South Asia which has no legitimacy is a political construct with its origins in American think tanks where they seek to subsume — please understand one thing. If there is one thing both Islam and Christianity are afraid of, it is Hindu
Nationalism. Hindu nationalism poses the biggest threat to both Islam and evangelical church. They are propagating the concept of South Asia where they hope that India’s territorial borders and her Hindu identity will be subsumed in the larger Muslim-dominated region of Pakistan and Bangladesh. When they say South Asia, I don’t think they have Bhutan and Sri Lanka in mind. When they say South Asia, they primarily mean India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Hindu History is a History of Resistance
The most subversive act undertaken by Indian academia is the kind of history that they have written for us. It is a defeatist history. It is a history which says that the Indian nation was invaded by hordes and hordes of people and they emasculated the Indian society and that Hindu society was weakened by them. This way they put us in a defeatist frame of mind. But is this true? This is not true. I have one of the most brilliant papers compiled by Dr. M.D. Shrinivas of Centre of Policy Studies in Chennai. And look at what he says, Islam had already over-run Europe, Africa and large parts of Asia. But the Hindu community kept off the Islamic invaders at bay. The Muslims couldn’t get a foot-hold in India between 600 and 1200 AD. Islam couldn’t get a foot hold here. And which were the Rajyas and Samrajyas which held them off? The Chalukyas, the Rashtrakutas, the Karkotas of Kashmir, and the Rajputs – they kept Islam away from getting a toe-hold in India up till the 13th century.
And once Islam did get a foot-hold here, there were still large parts of India which were never under their control. Large parts of South India, Orissa, Assam – they were never under the Muslim rule for any great significant period of time. The Madurai Sultanate was thrown out within 30 years. You have the Marathas, the Vijayanagar kingdom, you have the Bundelas, the Sikhs, and the Jats who raised powerful military organizations to combat Islam. And the Islam that came to India was Jihadi Islam. Jihadi Islam is not a phenomenon of the 20th or the 21st century. When Islam came to India, it came as Jihadi Islam. It is only Jihad that the Hindu community has faced since 600 AD. We never allowed Islam to set up any kind of government here till the 1200. But even after we lost militarily to Islam … Islam was a world conquering force, let us not forget. And when we lost militarily, see what we threw up. Sanatana Dharma in the form of Acharyas, the Bhakti movement, the Shastras, the commentaries, the Bhasyas … it was the abundance of Sanatan Dharma literature that came through after we lost militarily.
Sanatana Dharma has been the core of the Hindu Rajya. It was also the core of Hindu Rajya in South East Asia for over a thousand years between 300 AD to 1500 AD. The Rajyas and Samrajyas of South East Asia had the Sanatana Dharma as their core. And Sanatana Dharma influenced West Asia, East Asia, Central Asia and South East Asia. And we have an external affairs ministry today which has made sure that India is surrounded by ideologies and states actively hostile to Sanatana Dharma and Dharmis.
Nepal has fallen victim. Bhutan is well on its way to falling victim. Bangladesh, Pakistan, we have lost Sri Lanka also. India failed to step into Sri Lanka. Musharaff has stepped into Sri Lanka. India failed to step into Nepal. Chinese, Americans and Maoists have over-run Nepal.
Subversion of Polity
Hindu Rajya means territory under my control and territory under my influence. It is the subversion of intellectual India that we believe in Gujaral doctrine which says give-in, surrender, get over-run and welcome outsiders to come and decapitate us. What is destroying India today is intellectual subversion in polity which gives them the ideology upon which the UPA government and even the NDA government to a certain extent function.
How else can you explain the fact that the NDA government patronized Nirmala Deshpande? Or made M.K. Narayanan the member of the national security advisory board? We are so afraid of people calling us intolerant. When are we going to say, yes! There is “us” and there is “them.” There are those who belong. There are those who do not belong. But you are welcome. You will be provided with all comforts and the freedom to practice your religion. But you cannot be a part of the Hindu Rashtra. You cannot participate in power. Do we have the courage? We had the courage and that is why we remained the Hindu Rashtra and Hindu Rajya.
The day we opened our doors indiscriminately, the day we used Vasudaiva Kutumbkam as our defining characteristic not with strength but with weakness, we have allowed intellectual subversion to such an extent that 50 years after independence … The power at independence returned to the Hindus. But what kind of Hindus? It returned to those Hindus who were ashamed to be Hindus, regressive Hindus, deracinated Hindus, and Hindus who had no faith in their own civilization. It is Hindus who speak badly of the caste system. It is Hindus who speak badly about our Acharyas and gurus. It is Hindus like CP Rama Swamy Aiyar who advocated government control of temples. Intellectual subversion!
Subversion through Media
The media has played no less a destructive role. Please understand. The money for media. How many times have us or the Sangh Parivar bemoaned the fact that we are unable to bring out a national Newspaper which will give leading Indian dailies a run for their money. Because we think we do not have the resources. Then think of the kind of money that is going into the Hindu, the Times of India, the NDTV, the CNN-IBN …
Please understand this is the money that is coming from the outside. When these channels function, they do not have national interest in mind. They do not care about national interest. They have to answer to the hands who are pumping money into their channels and papers. Is it any wonder that they are anti-Hindu?
Are White Christians our Allies against Islamic Terrorism?
A very subtle intellectually subversive activity is taking place, and I am afraid there is a large segment of even very intelligent Hindus who have bought into this argument. That we need to partner the US and developed Western nations to fight Islam, not realizing that Jihadi Islam was first pacified and used by the Western nations in Afghanistan and in Kashmir. The West has pacified and subdued Islam to further Western colonial interests in non-White, non-Christian nations. If we understand this clearly, we will not make the mistake of thinking we have to partner Western nations in our war against Jihad. Also understand that the Western nations are the bitterest critics of Hindu nationalism. You only have to read the annual report which the US State Dept. churns out on religious freedom, human rights and patterns of global terrorism. The language it uses against the RSS, against Hindu nationalism … why did the US refuse visa to Narendra Modi? It was to send a strong signal to NRIs and would-be NRIs in India that if you want accommodation in the US, you have to distance yourself from Hindutva and Hindu nationalism.
No meaningful partnership or cooperation is possible with communism, Islam or Christianity. We must allow them to wage their cosmic wars and if they are warring with each other, sit back and enjoy the fight. Don’t think you are going to participate with one of them. None of the three is going to accept Hindu nationalist, Hindu nationalism, Sanatana Dharma or Dharmis as their equal partners. If anything, they will try to use the gullible section of the intellectual elite to server their own purpose.
The Subversion through IITians
The last section which practices the intellectual subversion. I particularly hold a very large section of the IIT pass-outs who have relocated in the US guilty for this intellectual subversion. When I did some research on anti-Hindu NGOs and activists, I found that most of them like AID, Asha, Akhila Raman,
Angana Chatterji and others are all entrenched in American universities.
These are communists who are functioning from American universities who write and work in support of Naxalism, who have participated in the CPI-ML Congress. Mahashweta Devi, Arundhati Roy, Praful Bidwai … you name them, all of them have links with Naxals and they are well entrenched either in American universities or they are encouraged by Indian communists working in American universities. And a very significant number of them are IITians. Raju Rajagopal, Ram Puniyani, Sandeep Pandey, Balaji Sampat, all are from IIT. There is thus a large section of our intellectual elite moving into intellectual subversion.
What is the remedy? I think it is going to stick in the throat of most of us who think tolerance is out defining virtue. I am afraid Hindu society forgot the valor of the Hindu Rajyas and Samrajyas which staved off Islamic rule, which fought the colonialists, which is even today fighting the communists at the level of the society. Hindu intellectual elite has a self-imposed image of tolerance which is not real. We have forgotten the Kshatriya blood which is intrinsic to both our intellectual activity and our public life.
There is no Kshatriya blood in the Hindu leadership today. Sabrimala happened. Pujya Kanchi Shankracharya episode happened. There is an EVR statue right in front of the Sri Rangam temple. What is the response of the Hindu intellectuals, Hindu organizations and Hindu society? Has there been a response? Has there been an intellectual response? Has there been a physical response? There are very highly respected voices from amongst the Hindu community that are actually saying we have no objection to the EVR statue anywhere in Sri Rangam, just not in front of the temple. We have forgotten the concept of the temple town. The whole town is a temple.
How the Public Spaces are Subverted
When I said Hindu Rashtra, I mentioned territory. The territory also comprises the character and content of public spaces. Let me tell you the politics of public spaces and the intellectual subversion associated with it. In 1999, the Pope came to India two days before Diwali and he declared his intention of planting the cross in Asia in the 3rd millennium.
The first victim of the church-planting mission in Asia is South Korea. In 1900, South Korea was less than one percent Christian. In the seventies, it was about 18 percent Christian. In 1990, it is 40 percent Christian. Just as what is happening to Kerala. In Kerala, just over 50 percent are today Hindus. The rest are all gone.
In South Korea, from the heart of the Seoul city to the airport, it is a 20 km stretch. On either side of this stretch, at ever three feet there is a towering church. These are not small Christian prayer houses with thatched roofs or asbestos sheets. These are towering churches. There are scores of churches lining the stretch, which are totally out of proportion to the Christian population or the people who come to congregate there. Then why are these churches standing there? Public spaces! The churches are standing there as a symbol of subjugation, as a symbol of dominance, as a symbol of money power that says: “I will occupy your public space.”
The presence of EVR statue in front of Sri Rangam I am 100 percent sure it is the Christian money that has gone into the Dravidar Kazhagam and instigated them to plant a statue on the very entrance to the temple in front of Rajgopuram. The land was allotted to them in 1972. From that time to this time, they did not dare to plant the statue there. There was continuous Hindu resistance. All of a sudden how did they get the courage or the money to go and plant it? They did that in 2007, soon after the Kanchi-Acharya issue, soon after the Sabrimala issue, soon after we showed them that you can keep rubbing our nose in the dirt but the Hindu community is today incapable of coming up with a Kshatriya response. Towering churches in Seoul. You enter the Tambram railway station by train there is this huge cement pillar with a huge Jesus Christ. When you enter by train, this the first thing you see. Yesterday, I was horrified when I came to the Madras Central Station – I think this must have come up about a month ago. I am entering the station by train and right beneath the bridge I see a huge cement pillar with a huge Jesus
Christ! This is called occupation of public spaces. This has a political intent. This is not a religious intent. The message is: “I am dominating you, I am subjugating you.” Do we have the sense to see this?
I am told that the EVR statue in front of Srirangan temple is not the only perversion. I believe on the Thiruvanthapuram beach, there is a Devi temple. And right in front of this temple there is a 50 foot statue of a naked woman. Not far from the temple, there is a church and the mosque, but this naked woman is not standing in front of the church or the mosque, but only in front of the Hindu temple.
So when the communists speak of atheism, when the Dravidians speak of atheism, they do not speak against Muslim or Christian god. It is only against Hindu gods that they speak. Intellectual Subversion is behind all Other Subversions Islam is a threat that you see as a sword against which we still do not have weapons. But Christianity is like cancer. It invades your body with sweet words. It tells you “I am a part of you” and then eats you away.
Communism of course is a blight on humanity. I cannot have a partnership with any of the three. And all the three inside India have intellectual backing. If Arundhati Roy can write a book on Afzal Guru, if Nirmala Deshpande and Mahashweta Devi. They have all been awarded the Padma Vibhushan by the
Congress government. The participated in the Naxalite Congress. If Christian conversion can be legitimized by India’s academia, the subversion of Indian nation – the Hindu Rajya and Hindu Rashtra – is backed only by intellectual subversion. If they are terrorists, blame us.
We are happy victims of terrorism. What stops us from becoming Kshatriyas? What stops us from writing good books? What stops us from producing monograms which will threaten them? What stops us from physically removing these Jesus statues and EVR statues? Ask yourself this question, and you will understand why intellectual subversion has worked in this country. The victims of this intellectual subversion are the Hindu Rashtra and Hindu Rajya, and the Hindus have only themselves to blame.
